In a literacy setting, this strategy could be used as the students partner read with each other. As one student reads aloud, the other can be following along silently looking for any pronunciation errors, insertions, deletions, or words the student misses. They can easily switch roles every other passage, paragraph, or page.
Example 3
Another example of the Classwide Peer Tutoring strategy in use is when the students are working on their writing and grammar. The teacher can provide the students with sentences that need fixing along with the answers. One student can work on fixing all the errors in a sentence while the other one ensures that they catch them all. If they miss an error or correct a non-error, the students can also discuss why it did or didn't need fixing.

Example 2
An example of this strategy being used in a mathematics setting could be when the students have just finished learning a particular skill such as how to multiply two-digit by two-digit numbers. One student could provide an equation for the other to solve and then correct it when the other student has finished solving it. This would help ensure that both students understand the strategy and are able to apply it successfully.
Example 4
In a spelling or word study setting, this strategy can be used for students to review or practice the words they are learning as well as any word rules. The students can easily take turns being the tutor by providing the word they want their fellow peer to spell and/or write before correcting and errors and providing immediate feedback.
